ISRO launches free online course on Remote Sensing, with award certificate :

ISRO takes a new course for students. ISRO has invited for a online course that called “Machine learning to Deep Learning: A journey for remote sensing data classification”. This is a short course, it will completed within 5 days. After completed the E-Course, students will receive a certificate. It will be conducted by The Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS). Dr. Poonam S Tiwari who is a Coordinator of this program.

The free online course will be directed from 5 July to 9 July, 2021. Participants can join for live class in the evening from 4pm to 5:30pm via web browser. It will arranged by IIRS, Dehradun. After participating in this program, will also receive ISRO certificate.

Who Can Take Part in the ISRO Free Online Course that called Machine Learning to Deep Learning?

It is open to participants who have basic concepts of remote sensing and geographic information system. It would be most beneficial for professionals engaged in remote sensing data processing in different applications.

ISRO Free Online Course on Machine Learning to Deep Learning Will Covered :

The aim fo this course that educating participants on the following matter.

》To Exploring machine learning/deep learning algorithms to extract specific class-level information from multi-sensor temporal remote sensing data sets is the first aim fo this course. Some topics that will be covered under this course-

1. Remote sensing and its sensors of various resolutions.

2. Radiometry and geometric corrections and basic understanding of the image.

3. Network-based learning algorithms: ANN to CNN or RNN.

4. Will be focus at the methods in machine learning : Supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement.

5. Basic classifier to machine learning: A Journey.

6. Fuzzy-based machine learning with application in the temporal data processing.

How to Get ISRO Certificate for the Course?

When a participant complete the course, the Participants will be rewarded certificates. It will base on attendance of 70% of sessions through the eclass portal. A participant who attend the course through the IIRS YouTube channel. The results of their attendance will be known through the offline session available after 24 hours.

How to Register for ISRO Online Courses?

Interested participants can register by the official website of Indian Institute of Remote Sensing. Registration for the course has started few days ago. Participants can join through the eclass portal. There has 2nd option for joining by IIRS. You can also attend the live workshop via the YouTube channel of IIRS.
