How to correct the name on the Aadhaar card? 

1. First go to the website ssup.uidai.gov.in. You just have to type in the browser. 

2. On the page you will see the Proceed to Update Aadhar option. Click on it. 

3. After that you have to log in with your 12 digit Aadhaar number in the specified place in the page that will open. 

4. After that you have to submit with the captcha given on the screen. Finally click on the Send OTP option. Almost immediately OTP will come to the mobile number registered with your Aadhaar. 

5. Now submit OTP. Then a new page will open. There you will need to provide accurate personal details, such as address, date of birth, name and gender. There will be an option to update all the details. 

6. Click on Name to change the name. 

7. In this case, keep in mind that you must have an ID proof to update the name. You can use PAN card, driver's license, voter ID card or ration card as ID proof. 

8. An OTP will come again after giving all the details. Fill it out then click on save. This is how your Aadhaar will be updated. 

Again, in many cases, do not use the phone number used to make the Aadhaar card. Then it is possible to change the number very easily. However, in this case you have to take the help of Aadhaar center. 

How to change the phone number of Aadhaar card?
