Public Service Commission -odisha has recently issued recruitment notification

The post of officer will be appointed by the Public Service Commission. The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has recently issued a notification announcing the appointment of Assistant Horticulture Officer. Eligible and willing candidates can submit application soon. Candidates can know the details by visiting the official website of OPSC - opsc.gov.in.  

Application deadline:  


Registered candidates will be able to submit applications till October 8, 2021. Applications must be submitted online.  

Vacancy Description:  


The total number of posts is 37. An Assistant Horticulture Officer will be appointed in Class-II post under Group B Service under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment.  

Age limit:  


According to the notification, the age limit of the candidates can be minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years on January 1, 2021.  

Eligibility of application:  


Candidates should have passed Bachelor of Science in Agriculture / Horticulture from any government recognized institution.  

Selection Procedure:  


For the recruitment of OPSC candidates for the said post, first there will be a written test of total 200 marks. In that case the value of each question will be 1 and has negative marking. Candidates who pass the written test will be shortlisted and then called for interview. A total of 25 marks will be allotted for the interview.  

Application Fee:  


Candidates have to pay Rs.500 as application fee. However, there is no application fee for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (applicable only to Odisha residents) and the physically challenged.
