Register now on e-SHRAM portal to get benefits from central Government
The central government has launched e-SHRAM portal for unorganized workers. Work has already started to register the names and information of the workers to avail the benefits. The center has informed that the workers will get multiple benefits if they have e-SHRAM card. Through this e-portal, workers from unorganized sectors of the country like construction workers, migrant workers, hawkers, servants will be brought under various social security schemes.
With the help of this portal, many unorganized workers will be given the benefit of government schemes, the department said. This is the first time in the country that a system has been introduced that will link workers directly with the central government. Workers will be given an e-labor card with a Universal Account Number (UAN) upon registration. So that they can access the benefits of various social security schemes through this card at any time.
What benefits will workers get from this portal? (e-SHRAM Portal Benefits)
By registering their names in this new portal, day laborers, migrant workers, maid-servants as well as sidewalk shopkeepers can get benefits. In other words, a database of workers in the unorganized sector will be created through this portal.
Workers can use the toll free number 14434 to register on this portal. If for any reason the workers are not able to register their names, the solution can be found in this number.
Workers can register on this portal with their Aadhaar card number and bank account details. To register the name here, you have to register the address along with the date of birth and mobile number.
Once the name is registered in this portal, the authority will give e-SHRAM card. These 12 number cards will be useful in the social security scheme of the central government.
Universal Account Number of the card will be accepted all over the country.
Unorganized field workers, BOCW workers, SHG members, housemaids, ASHA workers, Anganwari workers, sidewalk traders, rickshaw pullers, bricklayers, farm laborers, MNREGA workers, fishermen can add their names in this portal.
If a worker dies in an accident for any reason, the family will be given Rs 2 lakh. Besides, if a person becomes disabled in an accident, the government will pay the same amount. However, if the person is partially physically disabled in the accident, the center will pay Rs 1 lakh.
To register on the e-labor portal, first go to https://www.eshram.gov.in/. Then you have to register with important information including Aadhaar number, bank account information and mobile number.
How to do e Shram Portal Registration?
1. First go to this site https://www.eshram.gov.in and log in to register.
2. Here you will see the "Register on e-Shram" option. Then Click there.
3. In case of registration on e-Shram Portal, Aadhaar number, Aadhaar Linked Active mobile number, bank account details have to be given.
6. The age of the worker applying for registration should be between 16 to 59 years.
